Not even my favorite cut of this movie, but seeing it in theaters is still just awe inspiring. To this day one of my favorite movies ever and one of my favorite takes on the most important fictional character to me. Should really write more one of these days.

44. Soul Eater (Re-read)

God it's so good

It's not always hitting its highs (why is Ohkubo like this) but the best stuff in Soul Eater still works so well, I loved reading practically everything start to finish again and I'm glad I had the excuse to go back to it

To this day I still adore it

Don't really put stuff I researched on the media thread but Saladin Ahmed's Spider-Man run is really damn good and my favorite solo Miles has had up to now. Builds on everything Bendis and prior adaptations laid out remarkably well and does a lot to define who he is on 616.

Also Shift's goated.

39. The Immortal Hulk by Al Ewing and Joe Bennett

Holy fucking shit

Legitimately do not think I can put the right thoughts into words that wouldn't be redundant from the pages themselves, phenomenal stuff start to end and one of the best modern comic runs full stop, I'm glad I finally got to it.

It's good shit, tackles the tone I'd want from a story like this and Hickman does a really solid job showcasing a lot of interesting connections I don't think I would've thought of going in

And then ending on like the simplest yet best one he could've, real for that

30. Super Kiwi 64

Very short playthrough of a cozy and cheap collectathon, not a lot to say given its length and simplicity but I enjoyed my time, silly lil guy :)

A really strong and earnest take on a modern indie superhero book that's kept me hooked and keeps doing sick shit with comics as a medium.

Really looking forward to where it goes from here.
