This is so great. I studied biology a long time ago and I still like to consider myself a biologist but I didn't even know those worms existed. (Maybe I can be excused because they certainly don't exist where I live in northern Europe). I'm so happy I now know about them.

I'm absolutely a cat person but I wholly agree with this. My cats are indoor cats only - and the ALL are rescue cats that come from outdoors and they all adjusted just fine to living indoors.

Ernsthaft: Wenn Du an Homöopathie glaubst bist Du vermutlich nur sehr ungebildet in Bezug auf Naturwissenschaften - Homöopathie widerspricht da einer ganzen Reihe von denen, inklusive Mathematik. Die meisten wären auf so einen Mangel an Bildung nicht so stolz.

Wirkung hat normalerweise nichts mit Glauben zu tun. Entweder man kann eine Wirkung nachweisen (wissenschaftlich!!!) oder man kann es nicht. Dann kann man am Ende wissen, ob es wirkt und muss gar nichts glauben. Homöopathie muss aber keinen Wirkungsnachweis erbringen, also fröhliches Glauben!

Das geht leider auch andersrum. Ich habe von medizinischen Psychotherapeuten mal gesagt bekommen, dass ich nicht depressiv genug bin um krank zu sein und nur mehr Wasser trinken muss. Ein anderer hat mir die Geschichte SEINER Scheidung erzählt, weil ich zu rational sei für eine Depression.

"Emotional reasons" is not what I meant. I find the relentless and uninterrupted pointing out of everything that's wrong with the world depressing, although that's not on the people who do the pointing out.

I went through your follows list in hopes to find someone I want to follow on here since I do share some of your interests/politics and now I'm depressed. I'm sorry but I need something pleasant and cheerful amongst all the disasters. How do you mentally survive your list??
