That’s not to say there won’t be compromises, I think it’s safe to say compromise is just a part of interacting with others, but if that’s what you’re focusing on someone is likely going to feel at least some resentment especially since the “weight” of the compromise is subjective so each party is

I saw a quote recently that really resonated with me(married 12 years):“With compromise you both lose. As a couple, you must COLLABORATE on the best possible outcome.”As others have said,communication really is the key & if you focus on the things each is giving up it’s going to result in bitterness
