I firmly believe that this is part of the reason why "Loser, Baby" resonates with so many people. It engages with the fact that things are, in fact, really shitty right now. It lets people know they're not alone in that, and that things can get better.

You can love a character and still admit when they're wrong. I love Velvette but I acknowledge her flaws (she has none) and I can hold her accountable for her wrongdoings (she’s never done anything wrong in her life) and call her out on her actions (which are always right)
