This is certainly true with a whole range of media. Someone who is well adjusted and mature can watch media with violence and morally grey characters and understand its fiction to watch for entertainment, not something to emulate in real life.

Well, fortunately its not like we've collectively done nothing. Across the globe nations are adopting greener technologies and practices. Obviously a lot more must be done, we are in no way out of the woods, but I take comfort that we're not starting from scratch on this.
