linux user dabbling in js, python, and rust
really likes racing games
does not have enough free time to play them
So, it's not the engine itself, but the extra bells and whistles not having enough time in the oven and developers tossing performance to the wind for visuals.

Yet, there are examples of well optimized UE5 games that exist, granted you aren't using those two features. Tokyo Xtreme Racer, though more obscure, is one example. Satisfactory is another from my experience. There are plenty of other examples I could list, but these immediately come to my mind.

Visibility is a big issue, yeah. Also, just all the reflection and the transparency feels like visual noise you can't really deal with on a display like that. Maybe further along in the future but with the tech of the present, this isn't the best of ideas in practice.

Since I'm not all too in the loop on the new nvidia-open and Nova drivers, how are they coming along in terms of improving Wayland support since it seems DEs are dropping support for X11 left and right now?

I just don't like payload because of the maps themselves. The maps all have various issues with them that hamper my enjoyment, but I will say they're amplified when six-stacks of pubstompers join servers and they KNOW how to take advantage of the flaws in these maps.

For a ROMpler from 1996, it's seriously impressive kit just in general! Been one I've sought after for years.

Yeah, I think it's a pretty board! I'm a fan of the blue on the enter, function and nav cluster especially.

I wish we'd go back to keyboard designs like these instead of the super common bezel-less ones you see today, not to sound like an old lady lol

What kind of board is it?

New potential Linux user: "Hey, what distro do you recommend for a beginner"

Veteran: "Just use Arch bro, it's all you need"

That's how a lot of conversations about using Linux go, genuinely. And that's why people are staying on Windows and putting up with Microsoft's shit.

Everybody takes their transition at their own pace. You're pretty as you are, girl.

Compare yourself to the you of yesterday.
