And as with every environmental issue, the groups most likely to be impacted by our hurricane season are POC and the lower economic class-- groups that the progressive movement are striving to empower. Why do these groups only matter to y'all when they're residents of blue states?

Not all of us living here are Republicans, and many of us can't afford to just pack up and leave-- a concept many of y'all seem to only understand when told that "if you don't like living in America, just leave."

Believe me I want to leave. I'm an out transgender person in one of the most unsafe places to live as a trans person. But unfortunately, that's not financially an option for me, nor is it an option for many other disenfranchised groups trapped here.
