Thank you. I'm still here. But the world is just far too depressing right now. I'm tired of living in a reality where amoral sociopaths reap all the rewards and I can barely get by. I suppose though the same has been true throughout all of human history.

I guess "stemming the tide of the loneliness epidemic affecting middle aged people, especially men" is a little out of the scope of what I can do. Maybe "works" could just mean "me and the person I interact with feel less lonely for a little while."

I'm trying to engage my friends/followers on social media to let them know they are being listened to and that it's not all AIs, bigots, and proclamations of doom and gloom. I don't know if any of that works though.

I totally get where this post is coming from. My Unitarian church has a woke lady pastor, and she's the youngest person in the entire congregation.

Imagine if they did make a remake. They'd probably make Alex a twitch streamer playing a space combat MMO only to have Centauri come into the chat and reveal the other players he's been shooting were enemy spacecraft after all, Ender's Game style.
