In the creek side bushes were Goldfinch, Reed Bunting, Blue & Long-tailed Tit’s & a hidden Song Thrush. A Kingfisher flashed up a flooded channel in the sewage works. A Kestrel flew through. As the tide receded Moorhen patrolled the mud whilst Teal moved by the mud & water. HG & BHG also seen.

Final stop was Reculver where there was a heavy shower. A birder saw a Little Auk just before I arrived. At the Oyster Farm were Stonechat, Meadow Pipit, Goldfinch & Corn Bunting. Some thrushes in bushes were to far away to ID. On the sea were BHG, A GBBG flew through & 3 Cormorants on the posts.

Moved onto Long Rock, Swalecliffe where there were 27 Oystercatchers roosting & 37 Carrion Crows on the beach. In the brook & pools were 8 BHG & a male Mallard. More House Sparrows in the bushes by the path. The only birds over the sea were 3 Brent Geese heading towards the Swale.
