A beautiful spring setting for the intro weekend of our 2025 Wildlife in the Cairngorms ID Course! The usual coffee & cake was had in between learning and there was a great deal of bird song.

During our Waders Masterclass last weekend, the class ventured over to the Black Isle. Despite strong winds & a very high spring tide, the class were able to identify a variety of species after their previous day in the classroom!

Waders Masterclass 1-2 Mar

One of the most difficult groups to identify in the UK with so many species possible. We shall look at all the UK’s wader species, particularly those seen in & around the Cairngorms & coastal areas nearby, including scarcer species.

Julian here and we’re off to a flyer in #Gujurat, starting our tour at Velavadar National Park. Both mammals & birds have been superb, with incredible Striped Hyena, Indian Wolf, Jungle Cat, harrier & eagle experiences plus Blackbuck!
