SPEX is a software package for high-resolution X-ray spectroscopy in astrophysics. It is optimized to analyse spectra from the XMM-Newton and Chandra gratings, and the XRISM resolve instrument.
Tomorrow, it is 25 years ago that the #XMM-Newton X-ray observatory was launched by ESA. Amazingly, the satellite is doing great! It still performs observations of the X-ray universe, from the hot gas swirling into black holes to the hot gas in the cosmic web. Stay tuned www.esa.int/Science_Expl...
