Elections have consequences

Thinking about all the “I don’t get into politics” types today. How ya feeling? Still good with toeing the line? Being neutral? Not getting involved? Being silent?

I just keep coming back to the idea that even though the confederates lost, they were allowed to own land thereafter. That was a huge mistake in US history. The generational power that’s been created because of that ownership is not good.

AOC: I don’t care what Elon Musk is doing behind the presidential seal, but in this country we hate Nazis. Kind of like a foundational defining thing. Two of the foundational things about American history is that we beat the confederates and we beat the Nazis.

I think of this video often. We shouldn’t be fighting the same fight. Waiting for comfort and decorum isn’t the way. Progress happens when you don’t stop.
