Today’s giant leap for mankind: apparently if you don’t use the backspace button, there will still be words on the page when you are done writing for the day. Deeply unsettling. I must away to my ouija board. The writerly spirits with whom I’ve been communing failed to tell me about this revelation.

Fastest I’ve ever read a book is under the covers at 7yo, devouring every word before I’d get caught. Been chasing that high ever since. Do drug companies know about this untapped market? If this writing career doesn’t work out (it won’t), I’d be great in R&D. Who says an English degree is useless?

My favorite part of writing is the grind. Hours later, I get up from my desk with a still blank doc, but suddenly all my laundry is done, my chip bags are empty, my TBR pile is thinner... Suspicious activities abound. Must investigate. Will report back.
