Helly is Eurydice, Mark’s one love. Mark turns his back to see Helly at the equator (the split between his two worlds as Gemma peers through, perhaps not knowing he is severed). He then seals Helly’s fate as they’re sprinting through the flashing red flames of the severed floor.
