Sure - I have no issue with holding anyone doing wrong accountable. As long as it’s not used as a whataboutism escape hatch to avoid calling out the actions of the Israeli gvt (as I’ve seen many people do) then calls for that are justified for sure.

Gotcha, that’s reasonable. I’m ok with referring to them as war crimes vs. genocide as long as the acts aren’t being legitimized. Thats the main concern for me: the atrocities need to be recognized as such (and the perpetrators brought to justice).

Sincerely asking: what’s the correct way to frame it then? I’m ok with not using the word genocide, but what then do we call these atrocities and war crimes?

Is anyone more legally-knowledgeable than I able to explain how this is anything other than an obvious stalling tactic? Isn’t the DOJ basically saying “well you didn’t say anything about our other, secret reason for holding him!”

Ok so i know this isn’t the point at all, but that’s..not AI. It’s just rudimentary video editing. It’d actually be incredibly impressive if it were AI-generated, as the level of consistency throughout is pretty high.
