After Putin's conversation with Trump, Russia launched strikes on energy infrastructure, hospitals, and transportation, firing 150 drones, says Zelensky.

He once again reiterated that Ukraine will never recognize occupied territories as Russian – that's a "red line."

It’s an obvious point but apparently we have to keep making it: when Trump weakens Ukraine he created the conditions for a longer and bloodier war.

Russia’s leaders have said nothing about peace. They have made a list of demands on the US, the fulfillment of which allows them to broaden the war against Ukraine. And the US simply fulfills all of these Russian demands without question. That is only a peace process in the Orwellian sense.

Trump and Vance act as if the problem is that Ukraine is resisting an ongoing Russian invasion. The problem is the ongoing Russian invasion. If they want to use American power to stop the war, apply it to the aggressor. Abusing the victim is not going to end a war of aggression.

Given that the Trump people did nothing to induce Russia to end the war, it’s fair to conclude that the whole idea of pursuing peace was just a pretext to renew relations with Russia.

Oil flow through Russia's Ust-Luga port has reportedly paused, supporting claims of a successful Ukrainian drone strike on a pumping station. If confirmed, this could disrupt global oil markets, as Ust-Luga handles 20% of Russia's seaborne crude exports.

Ukrainian drones struck the Lukoil oil refinery in Russia's Volgograd region overnight. The facility processes 14M tons of oil annually, producing gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel. Russia also claims to have downed 49 UAVs across seven regions.
