Mine as well. Seems like they are in the ball. My dad made me a joint owner on his bank accounts just so they wouldn’t get cut off.

From what I’ve seen in dealing with my dad and father in law’s death, as soon as SS is notified of a death they cut benefits and take them back form the account within days. Seems like fraud would be minimal.
