They did it to themselves.

I've also heard this period through the end of the year as "Holiday Heart" with the increase of cardiac events.

We can make fun of them, or we can be incredibly sad that they don't even know basic things like the numerals we use today are Arabic.

Really hammers home that they might not be dumb, they were just failed by the politicians who oversee their state's education system.

Beat them with sticks metaphorically, of course. I just mean go and arrest them.

The sticks are only there if they resist.
November 20, 2025 at 3:16 PM
If only courts had an enforcement mechanism to uphold their decisions....

The fact this keeps happening, and millions of dollars get wasted driving it through the courts, should make it pretty clear the courts need officers with sticks to go beat the politicians who keep trying to pass these laws.

Except they wouldn't really control anything, the very few independents would.

They'd be the ones making the demands, not Democrats. And you'd have a further shifting to the right to meet those demands.

But this is what I've come to expect from the Democrat establishment.

Legally speaking, that's not a correct interpretation.

It creates the appearance of guilt, but is not an admission of guilt.

And honestly, it shouldn't be. If there's a miscarriage of justice and the President or a Governor were to issue a pardon, you wouldn't want innocent people declared guilty.

Alternatively, the House and the Senate don't get a say in the seating of a person. The state confirms the election and they are sworn in by their own state government - governor, chief justice, whatever.

Ridiculous that the House should get any say over who can or cannot be seated to begin with.

I ended up buying silicone "wings" that go on the Pro 2s to keep them in my ears when doing activity.

The Pro 2s also have an absolutely garbage microphone. I can't use them for calls, and that seems to be a widespread issue.

They're the last Pixel Buds I'll buy. Tired of being ripped off.
November 3, 2025 at 8:23 PM
They don't stay in my ears at all. The Pro 1s are better at that, but not by much. The Pro 2s have noticably better noising cancelling than the Pro 1s though.

The 2020 Buds and their A-series variant were far better at staying put, but they suffered audio and connection issues.
November 3, 2025 at 8:21 PM
As someone who has had every Google Pixel Buds version except the latest A-series, let me just say:

Get something else. I don't know what it is about Google's Pixel Buds, but they just cannot get them right. There's always something problematic.

Are these the best ones so far? Mostly.

Funny thing, the economy was going to bounce back after COVID regardless, so long as the President/Congress stayed out of the way. They could make it worse, they could make it better, but it was likely going to recover quickly because COVID was a weird blip.

Today, we have "getting in the way."

If only someone had been a good President and ordered the prosecution the instigator and participants of an insurrection, instead of passing the ball to a guy who dragged his feet.

Either that means you're using the same set of less secure passwords (i.e., easy to remember), or you're a legitimate genius with photographic memory who can remember about a thousand 16 character string of random letters, numbers, and symbols.

We're well past the point of "remember your password."

It's more about refusing to admit to being wrong.

If it was about a personal vendetta against Maryland, all I can say is....

Get in line. No one likes Maryland.

About the only hope that NC has is voting in new NC Supreme Court justices who see the power grab for what it is and throw out the maps. But it won't be soon enough, and there's no guarantee it'll happen either.

Getting people to participate in their governance is amazingly difficult.

Virginia is a very purple state. Here's hoping they do this AND gerrymander themselves a permanent majority in the state legislature.

It's literally the only play left in the book when states like North Carolina, a solid 50/50 state by votes, has a permanent GOP majority in the legislature.

The grunts? Sure. They're young kids and our education system sucks. I could understand them genuinely not knowing the SS thing when they're Scout Snipers; makes sense.

But there's always going to be at least one a-hole, likely the person whose idea it was to use the symbol, who knows what it means

They bought up big name studios for big name games, and then basically gave them away for free on Game Pass.

Whichever executive(s) made that decision should probably be blacklisted from executive positions.

Any future interviews....
"So you're the guy who came up with Game Pass? Get out."
October 12, 2025 at 12:20 PM
I think it's funny they're talking about the next Xbox hardware, but I have yet to see a post online of people who say they're interested. Quite the opposite, there's a lot of people saying this is the end.

I realize that's just anecdotal evidence, but it's not great for the Xbox brand.
October 12, 2025 at 12:17 PM
Game Pass never made sense to me, but then I don't get to see the financials.

But the moment they started pushing for Game Pass on other platforms I knew they were struggling, even if they said it was turning a profit.

Then they started selling their "exclusives" on PlayStation.
October 12, 2025 at 12:15 PM
Microsoft failed to understand 3 very important things:

1) Services with high overhead need a lot of subscribers.

2) You need to sell a lot of your bespoke hardware to net a lot of subscribers.

3) You sell hardware by having a lot of good, *exclusive* software.

Their international sales suck.

Because every vote matters.

As they say, don't let perfect be the enemy of good enough.

Maybe you should focus on those who don't deal in absolutes, people who propose changes to ICE so we don't have the gestapo-esque crap we have today going on.

No more plainclothes officers, no more masks, return to a more formalized process WHICH INCLUDES processing via the court system.
