this is about the unglamorous gutter of the waiting game. you know you need the inner work for personal growth, that this phase is necessary in becoming yourself. still, imposter syndrome strikes. you fall into self-punishment or rumination.

but if it hurt like hell and you got up anyway? you did the hardest part.

it took years to break this pattern. and some days, i still lose. inaction still wins. that terrifies me.

maybe you're there right now. here's the truth:

you can stay in bed. but there's nothing for you there.

time will pass anyway.

i loved how my expectations of the main character were different from the first page vs. the middle of the story, and i feel like there's still more nuance yet to unfold, which is exciting.
