Walmart & Amazon are good choices for people with limitations. It helps make life easier. It's OK to dislike the politics while still participating. Nobody can be an absolutist. That's really hard to do.

I have ProtonVPN too. I don't use it as much though. I dislike having to remember to disconnect or create rules when interacting with financial institutions. Proton is a good service to be sure. OpenWRT is good firmware but it would get me in trouble. I'd break things haha.

The voices who feel that election integrity is a big deal should continue to be as loud as possible. The incentives are too great and they are stacking the cards in their favor in plain sight. Who knows what's happening behind closed doors?

I was wondering when this period of highly subsidized "free" AI where we give it all our data and train it for the tech giants was going to end. I thought it would be longer but hey maybe this means the bubble will burst sooner. 🙏

Love when I see stuff like this. The gaslighting is real. And to gaslight over limited impact data (no offense to soybean farmers) means this is the low threshold they stop showing us respect.

Don't you love how all the red tape disappears for AI centers but we can't build effing homes to get people off the streets? This is American values. There has to be a reckoning. I keep waiting for it. Things aren't adding up. This cannot be sustained.

💯 and the promise of economic development and jobs is a false promise bc the labor will be imported bringing up prices for everyone (rent, groceries, etc.) and driving out lower income people. We are doing this AI thing too fast chasing market value. Disgusting to me.

Driving up energy costs for residents by >=10%. Plus at the state & local level huge tax breaks to incentivize development with the promise of jobs but labor will be imported at higher wages driving up prices and kicking out lower income people. Gentrification. Entertainment industry doing it too.

Thanks for all you do. I'm always about 3 - 4 weeks behind on episodes for all pods. I like listening that way when the heat is off of the topic in the news and I can absorb the info better. I'll listen to this around the new year haha.

I saw the gouging in the app a long time ago and quit. I basically logged in to Instacard and then compared various prices with the website of the retailer and compared cart prices. For 1 meal ordered on Instacard, you could spend an extra $8 to $10 just on the items. No more DD or Insta.

Technically they aren't illegal. In the past we've broken them up because they act in bad faith. It's harder and harder to do that now especially since SCOTUS is about to give Trump total control over independent agencies like the FTC, FCC, etc. The spoils system is coming back, bigly. 😔

Sick of streaming giants giving themselves huge raises on our dime. Hulu gave themselves a 10% raise in my subscription cost. HBO Max gave themselves a 7% raise. BTW: Hulu lost 4 channels in 2025. I certainly didn't gat a 7 or 10% raise. WTF?

The way I have understood it was that the house represents the people while the senate represents the land of the state they are from. That might be why it feels like they are playing different games.
