I’m still struggling. I’ve been awake since 3:30 and I’m sure I’ll cry some more, but I’m going to stop waiting for hope and happiness to fall into my lap. There are things to live for in this world. Beautiful things. I just have to seek them out.

I lost my uncle and one of my dogs this April. My mom got super sick. I hung onto outside factors (sports teams winning, good video game reviews, etc) for happiness because I thought I was a lost cause. I thought I couldn’t make my own happiness. Fuck that.
