I'm also on Storygraph (@speaktomyheart), only just starting to get into book reviews. Lifetime bibliophile and book dragon with a large collection/hoard. Genres I love: fantasy, romance, sci-fi, dystopian, historical fiction.
I agree! It took me over two months to read this book when my average time is around 8 days. Honestly I wanted to know more about the comic book than the actual story. While I enjoy dystopians and and some post-apocalyptic stories, this one fell flat for me.

For now I can make small considerate changes that might not make a big impact at a large scale, but it is still an important choice. While I don't think I could ever give up all technology, in the future I can choose to live more sustainably.

Now as an adult, I realize how much I have just accepted life as it is. I need food, go to the store. Anything else, I can quickly purchase online and get within a day or two. My life has become narrowed down by convenience. It makes me wonder where and when that changed.

At times, I found it a bit preachy but when I would sit and think about it I found that I agreed with much of what was said. When I was younger I always wanted to live a life similar to this, to touch and make everything I own, make food from scratch out of the garden in my yard.

This reflective story follows the author who sets out to live life without technology. No phones, cars, electricity, etc. Through out the book he quotes authors who have inspired him, as well as sharing his own thoughts on the faced paced society we currently exist in and how it isn't sustainable.

The Giver series is one of my favorite from when I was younger. I read it at least once a year.

If I ever tackle WoT, it will have to be audio 😅 that series is a beast

Same, my tbr is a mile long. I also read in different formats as well (e-book or audio) so I can optimize my reading based on other activities I'm doing or the environment I'm in.

They are very different! When I am reading multiple books at a time, the difference between them helps me keep them separate in my mind and let's me switch between them based on my mood. So far, they are all pretty good.
