Whether you're gathering with family at home, serving neighbors in need or taking the day to enjoy the beauty of our great state, I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Today, I'm thinking about all that I have to be grateful for and looking forward to seeing what the next year brings.

Today, I met with leaders from across the US to talk about child care access. Last session, I championed a bill that allows child care centers to open in any residential neighborhood in Maine. I was excited to talk about that and other measures we passed for working families. #NewDEAL2025Conference

The failed attempt to make it harder to vote in Maine gained national attention, including from the @npr.org Politics Podcast. They brought up a law I championed that allows people 65+ and those with disabilities to choose to automatically receive an absentee ballot.

Housing 🏡 was on the ballot in Maine yesterday and the measures in Wells, Kennebunkport and Topsham overwhelmingly passed. Mainers want to see #housing action!

Yesterday, I joined Governor Mills & area lawmakers to celebrate the opening of the development, made possible by the Affordable Homeownership Program. It's making a real difference for Maine's missing middle: people making too much for assistance programs but who are priced out of the open market.

Nestled in the heart of Brunswick, Wilbur's Woods has 21 new, single-family homes priced under the market rate and made for households earning under $105k a year.

Indigenous Peoples’ Day serves as an important day to pause, learn and reflect. Here in Maine, we can honor the Wabanaki, who have been stewards of the land for 12,000 years. (1/2)

You may have heard that CMP is requesting a rate increase that would impact every CMP customer. It could add $420 to electric bills each year on average. State regulators are reviewing the proposal. They're looking to hear from Mainers about how the increase would impact them.

It was deeply moving to see families, many with young children, there to support their loved ones. The soldiers and their families deserve our utmost gratitude for their service and sacrifices. Please help me honor the soldiers and keep them in your prayers.

I was honored to attend a sendoff ceremony for the 136th Engineer Vertical Construction Company today. They are preparing to deploy to Saudi Arabia in support of Operation Spartan Shield. This is the first overseas deployment of a Maine Army National Guard unit since 2022.

A huge thank you to Susan, Calvin and the team from Portland Pilots for showing me the ropes and having me on board. Disembarking a cruise ship onto a moving boat is something I won't forget!

Over the weekend, I went aboard the Liberty of the Seas to learn more about what it takes to navigate our waters. It is so impressive to see how the ships and pilots work together.

For 100 years, ship pilots have guided cruises, tankers & other vessels in and out of the Portland harbor safely. To become one of the few capable of doing this, they have to complete years of training, apprenticeships and hundreds of rides. They have to know the area & ocean floor with precision.

Because of Donald Trump, low-income Mainers will suffer. The Big Bad Bill is stripping a valuable resource away from families and seniors trying to make the most out of the food they have. Disgraceful.

30,000 Mainers are at risk of losing in-network insurance coverage at Northern Light facilities. The impact would be catastrophic. With the deadline to reach an agreement with Anthem quickly approaching, 75 Dem. and Ind. lawmakers have signed a letter urging the parties to reach a new contract.
