Birdsong, clean rivers, wildlife in our gardens and green spaces all hang in the balance.

We need action now: properly funded protected sites, more high-quality nature-friendly farming and delivery at a scale that will reverse the decline.

Farage has declared £9,663 in total payments from X, Tice has earned £5,770, and Lee Anderson £3,871. They are the only MPs who have declared payments from the social media website apart from Rupert Lowe (ex Reform) who has earned £40,000 from posting on X since his election last year.

I knew Tory ministers could be cruel, unfeeling bastards. But the insouciance, even mockery, by Labour ministers towards people convicted of no crime, who are at imminent risk of death as a result of an unconscionable period on remand is on another level altogether. They are revelling in it.
