4. Scrub out the bowl portions and give everything a quick rinse at least once a week. Once a month (at least) fully disassemble and scrub out all components. Change your filters at least as often as recommended, but keep an eye on their condition during weekly cleanings.

3. Get a bottle brush kit with all of the little pipe cleanery kinda of brushes (you'll need them for all the tuby bits) and if you got a rotary cheese grater, the double sided tooth brush looking thing that comes with that is great too.

2. Get all of the appropriate filters you think you are going to need for the lifetime of the fountain (and put them somewhere you will remember), bc inevitably when you try to find new filters when needed you won't be able to get them and will just have to buy a new fountain.
