today marks a month since my oldest cat, Cumin, passed. i haven't had time to draw anything for him, so i'll share this vent art comic thing i made to process my emotions about my 2nd eldest cat, Tansy, passing mere months prior instead.

Artists in this day and age are so respectable..
Even if you're a beginner and just starting, even if all you can manage are stick figures; you already possess so much more artistic integrity than those who turn to using AI.
I think as a community we should encourage beginner artists more.

one of my younger brothers came home for the holiday season. he told me that he got back into art and drawing, and then showed me a bunch of straight-with-pen doodle portraits he made on a notebook he specifically got to be his sketchbook.

went out in the rain cuz i thought i heard a kitten screaming... followed the sound to my neighbor's and shone a light at the sound... a rat scurried away, so i thought it was just a rat... neighbor came back with a flashlight and shone his light at the same area...

walked past a blue-eyed kitten that looked part siamese and wanted to pick it up SO BAD but—
1. i was otw to the mall to do groceries 🥲
2. it had a makeshift collar around its neck so it probably already had a human 😢
3. i already have 6 cats and financially not doing great, so... 😭

random memory i'm recalling as i try to fall asleep, but the first time i met a monkey, it grabbed my phone through the holes on its enclosure walls while i was trying to take a pic of it and i was so stunned that i couldn't even react 😶
that was probably in 2009-2010, maybe a bit earlier 😅
