He’s actually a House Finch… the red splotch down the chest and on his head indicates that… a Purple Finch would have a bluer red tone and a wash over the head, front and back…

Not sure where you are, but in Oregon, the produce is less expensive than my usual grocery store, and since there are only 2 of us, I typically freeze a bunch for later…

I have not found a way… except by contacting an interviewer who interviewed us, to get access to the article about us, once. Sigh.

New to Bluesky so cannot tell if you’ve had an answer yet.. this is a Ruby-crowned Kinglet, hiding its ruby crown… the red feathers atop the head are often not visible…unless the bird is upset!
