That could have been down through the bay of biscay. The Portsmouth crossing is very comfortable, you are asleep for most of it

I get sea sick on a pedalo on a duck pond. I have never had a problem on the Portsmouth to St Malo ferry. It's like a mini overnight cruise. The ferry is brand new this season too

The overnight ferry from Portsmouth to St Malo is a good option. The ferry docks at around 8:15am so you have all day to reach your destination

Brittany is a beautiful area and well worth a visit. The road network is fantastic. I would rather drive 400 miles in france than 4 miles in the uk
