A little background: I lost my right leg a little over a year ago due to diabetes, and was recently dismissed from my job due to what they called a "performance" issue although I had been there over 4 years and was typically a top performer. Draw your own conclusions.

I do miss them sometimes. I've "met" people I still keep in touch with, who recognize my value and who provide important perspective when I get inside my own head.

oh, I'm not new to social media. I go all the way back to AOL chat rooms and am quite familiar with privacy features. I just meant it's my first post here and I finally feel comfortable enough to open up a bit.
