Another issue is the hair, which I feel is maybe too tall? And the eye is far too close to it, the browns mix too well, there needs to be a contrast, so I'll probably have to get on fixing that soon.

Big for the character.

Speaking of movement focused on the arms, another way you can prove this is by dashing up-right, then pulling the joystick down-right.
That may not be entirely correct, but if you do it right, you'll start moving forwards with your feet dangling in the air and walking on your spine.
It's kinda funny

This also means it'd be trivially easy to make a power up where the player can use a psychic field of their own, temporarily.
Hire me NOW.

And instead get all of their speed from the initial firing point, which is surprisingly realistic for a game like this tbh
January 11, 2026 at 9:32 AM
ALSO, while I'm talking about SP, I wanna mention the gun physics quickly. They clearly are fired off at a high rate of velocity, however, if they are ensnared by the psychic field, then they start travelling in slow motion, which tells me they have very little velocity or speed of their own
January 11, 2026 at 9:32 AM
Not unlike how the joystick centres on its circle when you stop moving, which makes me think they use similar code.
January 11, 2026 at 9:21 AM
Interacts strangely with the character's hands. The psychic field itself is also coded based off the same joystick movement used for the player character, simply moving ahead and staying relative to it's position, which you can tell by how the field centres on the blue one when it has stopped motion

Honestly, the more I learn about Terraria's mechanics, the more I recognize the method used, and how it could be adapted to Godot
I might get back into Godot to make my own terraria, but idk what I'd make it, or anything
I have no goddamn ideas.
Sounds fun tho

Just today, I sat on a rail that was supposed to teleport me (it didn't) then I got teleported to the right beach for some fucking reason, then I fell through the floor 100ft, THEN I teleported where I was supposed to go
Fucking hate this game
January 8, 2026 at 10:14 PM
like I did. But even if you didn't find it that difficult, either way, it makes no sense for her to be there if Giacomo should be fought earlier, since Giacomo is farther off.
January 8, 2026 at 8:24 PM
Because you'd naturally assume they'd be similar levels, considering they're RIGHT FUCKING NEXT TO EACH OTHER.
A similar issue occurs with Mela.
She's around lvl 24, to be fought AFTER Giacomo, but she's right by Brassius, who's around lvl 18, which doesn't sound too bad till you get your ass beat
January 8, 2026 at 8:22 PM
For example, the Giacomo fight and the Mela fight.
The Giacomo fight is around level 20 for his ace, so that's around the level you should be. however, he's located right next to Kofu, who's in his 30's. This means you'll either be underlevelled for Kofu or overlevelled for Giacomo-
January 8, 2026 at 8:19 PM
For one, they fail at functioning as open world rpgs. Yes, you can go anywhere, but you're pretty much fucked if you try going anywhere that you're not supposed to.
Due to the game's levelling system, you can either enter a fight way too overlevelled or way too underlevelled.

through walls and the amount of inconveniences this causes me is INANE I hate it so much
January 5, 2026 at 7:09 PM

My brainworms are activated I want this game so bad I'm obsessed it's all I can think about help me but i dunno if i wanna be saved i need it now rrrrr
January 4, 2026 at 10:16 PM
I KEEP SEEING YOUTUBE SHORTS OF THIS GAME'S DIALOGUE AND IT'S SO FUCKING FUNNY I NEED IT YESTERDAY
January 4, 2026 at 9:54 PM
I mean, the gameplay does seem a bit difficult for me, I think I'd get overwhelmed and fuck up a lot so I hope it's not too difficult, but the story and dialogue seems fun and interesting, plus the visuals are fucking fantastic, I'm legit in love with it.
January 4, 2026 at 9:26 PM
I'm not gonna full on ramble about it, it's not high enough in my views for that, but it's still a really good game imo
I'll talk about legends later, it's genuinely so fucking good I love it so much
January 4, 2026 at 10:35 AM
The one I wanna talk about now is dragons, cause I've been obsessed with it lately
Basically it's a httyd game where you build your own Berk, and I've been having so much nostalgia replaying this game, it's insane
