This is part of why our family is scared.

Could it just be asshole bullies texting people for their own amusement? Yeah. Could they decide to take their bullying to another level? Yeah. Is it off the table that camps like this might exist in the future? Nope.

The incoming administration is talking about doing away with the department of education, so this feels like a really good read for today as it discusses what the Department of Education does and doesn't do, and how it got started.

Indeed. When they rounded up the Japanese Americans, myself and my family included, for internment during WWII out of fear over Japanese spies and saboteurs, two thirds of us were U.S. citizens.

Don’t think it won’t happen again when they come for the “undocumented.”

Know why I'm not gonna be quiet about how this is affecting my family? b/c millions of ppl have the privilege of not being targeted & say, "It'll be fine," and send good vibes & go on ignoring it. It's harder to ignore when ppl you know are talking about how scared they are - at least I hope it is.
