one of the places mom and I went to yesterday was a thrift store and we found this bag of embroidery stuff for $5. it's mostly old DMC, with some Anchor and Coats & Clark. I think some of the unlabeled skeins are DMC. now I get the fun of sorting and adding to my other stuff.

this week's #DoodleAwayMay prompt is Foggy + Ship, so I drew this based on a screenshot I took from Dredge. figuring out how to depict fog in pencils was difficult.

guess who's finally going to learn how to draw a basic skeleton because of the new nameless ghoul outfits for this silly little comic.

for reference:

earlier this week I repainted this cheap plastic frame (from a broken mirror I've been holding on to for forever) and turned it into an earring holder using plastic canvas.
finished earring frame, an ornate scroll style plastic frame. painted a deep green with black aging. there's a mesh grid of plastic canvas in the oval centre. inside the frame there are 6 pairs of handmade earrings: mushrooms with ferns, dark grey wings, pink roses on yellow plaid, deep blue and purple crescent moons, pastel bisexual coloured crescent moons outlined with yellow and a pair of tiny beaded lizards. the before of the plastic frame. it's a pale blue and there's one spot where I started applying the gesso as primer.
