Something that bothers me about the crowd that insists we can just bring manufacturing jobs back to the US is that they assume these jobs are easy. I promise you if the average American was asked to do a garment workers’ job for one day, they would give up.

If they don’t comply, they’ll probably get fired and be replaced with actual nazis. I assume that anyone in any branch of gov’t who loses their job will be replaced by someone loyal to the regime. Better to keep some resistors on the inside doing what they can, when they can.
