Thoughts on some career choices…

Improving is an alternating cycle between perceiving and making art. Both will help you improve, but only one of them requires active drawing! Art block happens when the ability to perceive exceeds the ability to draw - but don’t give up, you’re still making progress! It looks something like this:
My rendering of “The motivational art chart”, where the ability to perceive art and the ability to draw art oscillate around a linear, upwards curve describing overall cumulative progress. Art block zone and hubris zone are marked on areas where ability to perceive art exceeds the ability to draw art and vice versa, respectively. The aim of this chart is to show how important it is to keep practicing, even though it feels like your art is not improving.
