When did I see I wanted Biden to abuse authority to pass legislation I like? I very clearly did not, half this thread is you arguing against things I did not say. Of all the things to be mad at Biden about, being mad about pardoning Hunter is stunningly stupid.

"you do what is needed to restore democracy" does that include temporary authoritarian acts to prevent permanent authoritarian rule? Biden had all the power he needed to end this and then he could have fallen on the sword as a hero. Instead he is just handing a warm dictatorship chair to Trump.

If a supreme court hands you the tools to be a dictator (immunity) because they want to give them to Trump and believe you too chicken to use them (they were right) you have to blow up that power in an abusive and absurd way, there isn't an alternative as we've now seen.

And democrats didn't do what is needed to restore democracy because they were too deferential to norms and rules that no longer exist. I am not advocated for an alternative tyrant. Show me where you see that?

Dems could have "behaved badly" to restore democracy but by your interpretation doing so would have been worse than just allowing right wing authoritarianism to win. Which it has.

My desire is to stop right wing authoritarianism, not jam through leftist stuff. But here we are, Dems allowed right wing authoritarianism which no longer needs any help from the dems. Going high when they go low failed. Going low won. Very high chance Trump admin devolves into dictatorship.

The supreme court gave Biden official acts immunity which is an obvious farce. If Biden were a true patriot he would have abused that power, droned striked the court to prove the farce, and resigned to face consequences. That's how you abuse power to restore rule of law if there are no other options

I clearly didn't say that. The republicans have been on an authoritarian bender for years, in particular by corrupting the supreme court which the dems just rolled over like submissive dogs and allowed it happen.
