My daughter Vicky sent me this video from home of a male bluebird fancy flying and chattering with a feather in his beak. The female is sitting on the nesting box. He passes her the gift then perches on the fence wire. Looks like there will be babies again this year. Courtship and nesting behaviour

On a sunny, spring afternoon I enjoyed this little wetland at The Canadian Canoe Museum. It stores and purifies rain water from the roof while providing habitat for wildlife. Kudos to Basterfield and Associates Landscape Architects.

February 2 is World Wetland Day. Wetlands store water, release it during drought, remove toxins, store carbon and provide homes to so many plants and animals. Visit a wetland near you.
