Although this was nominally a benign breach it would be naive to think that the Chinese hadn't already harvested all the same data to go with all the massive datasets of us and EU populations that they have previously stolen. Big Brother Xi is watching you

They need to say distance at the same value of x, or perhaps vertical distance

Tried to use PowerPoint for the first time in several years yesterday to do a simple drawing and totally failed. It's trying to be helpful in some fashion I couldn't understand and totally blocked me from doing what I wanted to do. D'oh!

They're not paid to work hard, they're paid to marshal the company's resources to deliver sustained and growing profits. We should be asking why the workers aren't getting a fair share of those profits. I suggest a 5-10% levy on profit after tax to be shared by the workforce

I think this every time I watch Sink the Bismarck where there is simply not enough discussion of the relative accuracy and firing rates of British and German naval gunnery compared to their respective deck and side armours and much too much sexual tension between Kenneth More and Dana Wynter

Imagine a movie these days where a man tells a woman she's pregnant on the basis of some slightly ditzy behavior. Apart from the pro-SAC propaganda the movie was also pushing another agenda, that Americans should have lots of kids. Still, the planes are impressive

Being British, we don't do numbers, we call things stuff like Colonel Lord Bounders Regiment of Foot or 4th Lancashire Teamakers (Territorials) Volunteers (Reserves) Infantry (Mounted)

The conundrum is that it was also peak welfare state and the lowest ever point of social inequality. I graduated that year and had a support structure from birth to graduation that will probably never be equalled. Huge progress in many fields since then but I think we should know what we've lost
