In a world with deluxe edition this, and premium edition that, the games from @hazelightgames.bsky.social is a stark reminder that launching a game with everything available to you at launch, as a complete product, will still sell millions. There is no need for sleazy tactics to sell more games.

In 2025 I’ll continue the idea of completing 10 games over various platforms as per @mylifeingaming.bsky.social concept. Below are the games I’ll work on this year. The 10th game will be Indiana Jones digitally via Game Pass. (The one game obstructed by the light is Konami’s shooter, Cygni)

Last year I did what @mylifeingaming.bsky.social does and set up 10 games to complete in 2024. I finished all, other than Blue Stinger, as the PAL copy wouldn’t work on an NTSC Dreamcast, even with a boot up disc. Really enjoyed the method to complete some classics.

It’s hard to recall exactly what it was. I remember joining my older brother in an arcade as he played Asteroids, but I don’t think I actually played as I couldn’t reach the controls. Donkey Kong Jr. on Game & Watch is likely the first for me.

Seeing as I have an SA and NZ account, I had to split my stats between the two regions (seriously, @playstation.com, it’s nearly 2025 - allow people to change their region). I guess I’m a Final Fantasy fanboi.

Are there game devs that can explain the following to me in layman’s terms - the below image is from CoD BO6. In the mirror I can’t see the reflection of my character. Why is that? Why could I see it on older consoles, but not now with the ‘power of raytracing’ (or without it)? Legit question.
