Republicans have voted to destroy the United States of America. The rest of us will not allow it. Resist fascism with joy, with anger, with humor, with spite, but however you need to do it: resist!
My theory: when Reagan tried to destroy American higher ed (semi-successfully!) academia pivoted from "a liberal arts education helps people be better human beings" to "a college degree prepares kids to get jobs" to make university less of an ideological target.
