The "This is everything you feared based on your knowledge of scifi movies. Please make it so people can only use our tools moving forward to prevent the scifi from becoming a reality" that some are employing is not ideal.

Yep. Other types of notifications too. Also it looks like they are cleared on device vs account wide. Aka I get the same notifications on desktop if I already saw them on mobile.

This isn’t a complaint from me - I get it’s new and limited time to focus on a lot of features ⚖️

I’m hoping this becomes easier when the ability to add 3rd party moderation tools to your account lands.

Hey 👋

It’s pretty cool that the replies here aren’t just scammers or people mentioning their nft’s airdrop or something like they usually are in other places.

I use various AI tools a lot. Seems like having it directly embedded in standard workflows would be a lot nicer than "partial context switching"

I signed up since it was announced but not available for me yet. It'll be cool to see your video and how you use the feature.

Oh no.

"Wouldn't it be great if ____ existed? Too bad, we're going back to focus on our ads." Isn't a good business model?

Wow - that’s incredible!

Do you see a world in which upstarts in LLM can catch-up with the incumbents? Open source tools have any dream of being competitive with the major players?

Regulation is going to be a mess for a while. I think LLMs will simplify the process of knowing what it takes to start and run a company considerably. The hard part will be knowing what questions to ask

How do you think AI impacts startups in the next 2 years? What do you think the regulation landscape looks like?
May 3, 2023 at 8:12 PM
That's always great when that happens.

You know, so when Mars is colonized we know where someone is tweeting from ... OR Elon wanted to stop paying for the geotagging service. One of the two probably.

I don't think I'm on board with this. I can appreciate the Chai + Espresso, I guess. This seems like too much of a stretch 😀

How was it?

The "I lost this bet for you" take is kind of weird.

I would really love if some of the architecture changes around moderation also let us customize these types of feeds somehow. I similarly find that part of the app not very relevant to me

Can you imagine seeing this in an article 2 or 3 years ago? Would sound like complete fiction.
May 2, 2023 at 12:42 PM
Oh sorry I was maybe wording that a little unclearly - I wasn’t saying you were saying that. Just thinking through the types of replies you’ll get saying anything remotely in support of React Native.
May 1, 2023 at 5:24 PM
Any time someone says something positive about react native it brings out the “everything has to be fully native” crowd. It’s annoying - both strategies can be valid in different contexts

Initially I think it’ll be like a pair programming assistant and replacement for searching how to fix things (mostly there today) - longer term, I think it’ll be where you write high level plan, say go, and review the code made by an AI before it gets checked in / released

That’s hilarious! What airline or ticket level are they selling to?
May 1, 2023 at 2:21 PM
It’s almost always people injecting their fears from sci-fi into LLMs. Some articles intentionally tie into that fear.
