Once Professor Blastoff had some arrogant professor on as a guest. He went on and on about something and asked Dunnigan if he understood and he said "oh yeah, I listened the whole time" with a beautiful mix of sarcasm and disdain. It's my absolute favorite thing anyone ever said to a professor.

I have to imagine that at least once someone has been furious and said "Hey! You can't be Elvis in here!" in real life. Maybe some sort of truce situation that a new guy didn't understand yet.

When I was a kid that Matthew Broderick Godzilla movie came out and had "Kashmir" on its soundtrack. "Trampled Under Foot" made much more sense to me so I sort of believed that's what they meant to use but made a mistake because the tracks were right next to each other on the album.

As a guy is stabbing me to death I try to say "heh now all I have to do is sit back and wait, when people see how much damage your stabbing is doing they'll surely take my side in this argument" but instead I make terrible gagging sounds and die.

Sometimes I imagine being a therapist today and listening to people explain the crippling mixture of anxiety, fear, and trouble understanding what's real and saying something like "yeah for sure, that's correct".

My favorite activity ever happened when my son told me he wanted to write a song. I helped him write lyrics and we ended up recording it. He still sings it to himself sometimes which I love. It's one of those things I don't want to push too hard because I don't want to turn them off to it

That's great about connecting crafting to the books we're reading. I've been reading them Eragon, which is new to me as well, and i think might be a fun inspiration.

Were there any fun things you especially liked doing with your kids when they were growing up? I've got a 7yo boy and a 4yo girl and sometimes it's hard to find something everyone ones to do that isn't sitting in front of a screen. She's sick of losing and he's incredibly competitive and older haha.

I'm imagining the scene with Bartlett meeting the Chinese refugee to test his Christianity but it's Trump. I was trying to think of what Trump would ask if he was sincerely trying to figure it out and all I can think of is "We love this book?"
