That account is awful, constantly pushing false narratives and just making up 'facts' for clicks.
I've looked this up before and there isn't really an answer besides it being a regional thing in the US. It's like how some people down south say Ice Hockey instead of just Hockey. It's been suggested that it's to note the difference between canned tuna and a piece of tuna but it's speculation.
