So a few days ago I took a photo of NGC 4151 with its neighbour NGC 4156. Turns out, there is a supernova in NGC 4156! SN 2025bvm isclassified as a Type Ia Supernova, i.e. a type of supernova that occurs in binary systems. Maybe somthing for you @mpoessel.de ? #Astronomy

One of my favourit objects in the Northern sky.

Imagine getting up in the morning and looking out of the window. Imagine you would live inside this globular star cluster that consists of 500.000 stars!
This is Messier 3, the beautiful northern star cluster!

Nice, I also took a photo from my backyard, south of Ulm, of NGC 2903 with my 12 inch Newton and colour camera. That’s 72 x 300s (6h)

Also Gott befohlener Wasser-Schamane kann Trump ja Wasser zu Champagner machen indem er es besingt. Andere Spirituosen kann er durch variierende Körperöffnungen auch herstellen.

The Cigar Galaxy - Messier M 82 - a starburst galaxy approximately 12 million light-years away in the constellation Ursa Major. It is the second-largest member of the M81 Group. The starburst activity is thought to have been triggered by interaction with neighboring galaxy M81.

Messier 101 - The pinwheel galaxy.
1h 10m integration, not enough but still some time enough to stack a nice picture.
M101 is about 21 million light years away from Earth and has about 1 trillion stars 🤩

The tadpole nebula - IC 410. about 12.000 light years away from us and is an emission nebula. 2h25m OSC on a 12 inch F4 Newton telescope.

Great! It was one of my first images I took with my 80ED refractor in January. This was 4h10m and almost no experience in image processing, together with M82.

Nice! I’m just under a year into astrophotography and recently had first light with my new 12 inch Newtonian F4. This is 1h54m of M33. Of course my telescope is not as handy to transport as yours!

The Orion Optics UK CT12 had its first backyard setup, calibration and imaging session! M33 in just 1h 54m!
