he's not this bigger than life persona. he's just a dude. someone you could come across on the street with his own struggles and accomplishments
just a guy living life and navigating growing into adulthood in a world that's increasingly hard

How he's arguably the most plain looking character, he has plain hair, plain eyes, no extraordinary stature or hair cut
He only looks more like a main character after his transformation but even then he looks so boring compared to Tavi for example but it fits because he started as just a normal kid

I keep thinking about Evan and his journey from being this lonely kid trying to protect his family to this lost kid not knowing who he is to being the one to bring people together in the end and uniting them for a greater goal without even trying
