Anyone know of a project or effort that has built or is building a structure meant for human occupation that is built into a crater? Not looking for analyses or papers but ongoing or past projects that produced hardware/structure. Something parallel to the BioSphere 2 in AZ, USA.

One of my favorite astros is retiring: Suni is an amazing human. She’s done so much for NASA and goes out of her way to inspire the next generation. I hope we get to see her in orbit in the future.

1/2 Recently, Otto Aerospace landed (pun intended) an order for 300 going to Flexjet. Their Phantom 3500 is extremely slick and pushes the boundaries of efficient, high performance. As I was reading up on it, it suddenly dawned on me that the shape of the 3500 looks familiar:
