Yes you and I are in total agreement here about the Taylor choice, and the weakness of the end of the list, especially when compared to Crispell and Schweizer. Plus Aki Takase.

Can’t quibble about most of the individual choices here, but as a list it’s bizarre. No Al Haig, Keith Tippett, Alexander von Schlippenbach, Fred van Hove, Sonny Clark, or ART TATUM? But, as you say, it’s corporate.

Although he’s describing the world, Follain always puts me in an otherworldly state. Reverdy is the only comparable one for me I think.
