It's not rocket science why it happened. There was a push to freeze the borders where they were. By taking a piece of Russia it forced that option off the table for the Russians. As with everything in the war, Russia could withdraw from Ukraine anytime to get it back.

Great vid as always! I think you overstate how much Carney seems like a Trudeau man though. Most people not following the liberal party see Freeland as the Trudeau pick and Carney as the anti Trudeau pick.

Think it's a moment in time where traditional left/right fails to describe what's going on. PP openly appeals to distrust in institutions. Institutions are the only barrier to outright authoritarianism in the states right now. The right has radicalized so it's the left that is voting conservatively.

The logic is that if we elected someone more Trump aligned he would leave us alone or even help us out. A certain percentage of non-trump lovers are getting pulled to that mindset as well unfortunately.

Extension was never going to happen after last year. Jay's would want a discount for the down year / injury and Bo wants to re-establish his value.

The Dems aren't committed to policies like that. They want to run center left to whatever the Republicans do, and now that the Republicans have gone full right wing authoritarian the bar they need to clear is even lower.

That would make sense if the voting pool wasn't the BBWAA. These people are supposed to write about baseball for a living. They should be actively engaging with the fanbase and writing about their choices. The Hall exits to promote the game.
