As Trump and Elon and every closeted Neo-Nazi attempt to demonify every race and culture but their own, you CANNOT be indifferent. I don’t care who you are or how long we’ve known each other - if you harbor or perpetuate any form of hatred, we don’t need to know each other anymore.

But YOU can be the solution. Stand up to it. Say it’s not ok. Unfriend people. Make them uncomfortable. And if that’s the thing that ends your relationship, was it really that good?

If your friends and family make racist/sexist/homophobic/xenophobic remarks, and you don’t speak up, YOU are responsible. If you see a minority being threatened, mistreated or called a slur and you idly stand by and look the other way, YOU are the problem.

Boycotting is great, but you can only hurt a billionaire so much, if at all. Real change needs to start at home, with friends, family, acquaintances, and people you encounter personally every day.If you're indifferent to bigotry, racism, sexism or any other hate, then YOU are perpetuating it.

For all of you watching things unfold in front of you, saying, “How did this happen?! What can I do? How I can help?”…. Here’s what you can do.
