I'm having a special "red drink" on the deck bc I was at a 5-hour long department meeting today followed by two additional course design meetings (those were short) and: I love my job, but I need at least one (1) more month off before a student has access to me
I'm outside on our back deck, glass raised with about a finger of a beverage tinged red by cochineal, and a large cube of ice. I'm wearing a blue t-shirt and I look tired but fairly content. It's a nice evening here, which is honestly rare. There are bright purple flowers, a cycad(?), and a redwood in the background, as well as the backs of other residences. The beverage is a boulevardier (rye Campari vermouth) and that's my neighbors' way-nicer deck/garden. In my/our defense, they're retired.

A kind of astronaut bear that they sell at IKEA Meatball plate, at IKEA. The little Swedish flag... 🇸🇪 Our bathroom storage cabinet now organized into BINS. Before this everything was piled haphazardly and would just fall out and PISS ME OFF. The bins are Uppdatera...
