Yes. Thank you for this reporting. This suppression of academic freedom in the U.S. must be documented so that future historians will be able see clearly how the American government interfered with potentially valuable scientific and societal contributions to America’s climate resilience.

This article says the airplane is a McDonnell Douglas MD-11 made in 1991. Is 34 years the typical age of UPS’s fleet? Seems old from my layperson’s perspective, what is the norm? And have there been any anomalies in this aircraft’s maintenance records which might help explain why this happened?
